    I believe that the "Scrambler" nameplate is being resurrected for the JT, anyone else believe there is any truth to this?

    I think that's the general consensus out there. I'm not sure if it's based in any truth but I remember some articles back in the day cited that insiders were considering either Scrambler or Gladiator. I prefer Scrambler myself.

    Gladiator sounds so much cooler than Scambler though :rock:

    Do not think they wont use both... I expect those to be models, aka sahara, rubicon, etc...

    I really wish they would do the Crew Chief. That concept is amazing.

    @Vegas_Sirk agreed the Crew Chief name sounds imposing and authoritative :)

    Is the Scrambler name official yet? I think that would be a very cool name. It will sell a lot of vehicles.

    Hah I think they coulda named it anything and they're gonna sell a ton of these. But I like how they dug up the Scrambler name. My second choice would have been Crew Chief. I think Jeep fans will be happy with Scrambler though.

    Another vote for the Scrambler name. Reminds me of my old motorcycles.

    Not yet fully confirmed, but our sources indicate it's likely the name they will stick with. We're still a bit aways and things can change of course.

    We figured it was about time all the future JT owners had their own site anyway. ;)

    I hope it's not Scrambler, something about that name that does not project strength, power, durability, masculinity, etc. IMO, It's a wimpy name. Scrambler -> Rambler. It's what roaches are when you turn on the lights. I'd go for Gladiator or something new.

    I like Scrambler. I think of it as a Scrambler motorcycle it's the do everything bike. Can go off road as well as street legal. Just what the JT should shoot for.

    Gladiator reminds me of the quote from the movie Airplane. "Joey do you like movies about Gladiators" :)

    I love the Scrambler name b/c of the history of it. I doubt though that most potential buyers will know that history so it'll be interesting to gauge the general market's reaction to it. I have to assume that auto companies focus group the hell out of potential names but I could be wrong.

    Now that I think about it, Gladiator makes me think of Russel Crow. :)
    Edit: Meant to quote post #15. I don't recall that quote but just referencing the movie Airplane makes me laugh.

    Especially for this Bad Mamma Jamma, I always thought Jeep should use "all" the names as a way to distinguish trim levels

    Scrambler = like a "Sport"
    Gladiator = like a "Sahara"
    Crew Chief (or something with 'Chief' in the name) = like a Rubicon
