I’m just hopeful that it closely resembles an AEV Brute.

If so, then one will definitely be in my garage on 37’s.

I am hoping that they tuck the back part of the seatbelt behind the pillar cover. The constant noise it makes with the doors and top off the JK drive me insane.

I like the fold out tailgate steps, need lots of tie down anchors, easy folding windshield that doesn't leak after folding it down and back up a few times, and it would be nice if almost everything was waterproof like the Nav System, steering wheel controls, and seats.

 

Top like the wrangler.
Outlet in the bed.
Step in body between rear door and front of rear fender.
CB radio antenna pre-wire like the wrangler.
Storage under, or behind rear seats.
Lots of strap/attachment points.

 

A factory spray-in bed liner. I also really hope the under-bed spare mount will be able to accommodate 35s. I'd rather not have to go to the aftermarket for that.

I would prefer lockable storage under the front seats and a flip up rear seat with flat floor so I can put larger items in the back or simply have an area for my Dogs without them having to be on the seat.

I would also like an adjustable cargo tie down system like the Tacoma, Ram box storage built into the bed like on the full size units, Spare tire storage space to fit up to a 37" tire under the bed.

Personally I'm gonna switch to a rear bumper tire carrier and hopefully either MOPAR or aftermarket will offer an aux diesel tank for the under bed spare tire location.

Agreed with Vegas, definitely some type of either under seat/under floor storage, or hopefully they do something creative with the space behind the rear seats. Having that whole behind seat area be a wall of MOLLE configurable for different storage options might be neat.

 

If it's a composite bed, probably won't need a liner?

 

A composite or aluminum bed are probably more in need of a tough bedliner than a regular steel bed is. I'd probably pass on a factory liner in favor of LineX though.

 

Keep the tailgate swing out like a jl. Or maybe like a ridgeline and have it go both ways.

 

What do you see as the advantage to a swing out tailgate vs the traditional? I actually hate the idea however if it serves a purpose I would be willing to reconsider. Not sure anything could get me to reconsider if the split is off centered like the link to that ram. Hideous.

 

First off, I agree the ram tailgate is horrible looking. The swing tailgate just makes it easier to reach farther into the bed when loading and unloading stuff. My current truck is so tall that I cannot bend over the tailgate to load stuff, I have to slide stuff into it off the tailgate. So when it comes time to unload, I have to climb into the bed. I also have a tonneau cover, so I have to lay on my back and crab crawl to the front of the bed to retrieve said objects...

 

Well never had a tonneau cover but the crab crawl thing sounds pretty bad. I have a Ranger which I have drove for years and never had a problem, but I have laid the tailgate down and had stuff hanging over the edge and strapped to the tie downs. Might loose some of this functionality if the tailgate was a swing arm.

 

Yep, the ridgeline does both. Probably patented or something, though.
